{ Hawkshaw }
fall 2010
My first 10-look, 24-piece fashion collection. Hawkshaw was inspired by the timeless tales of Sherlock Holmes. I became fascinated with the classic silhouette of the trench coat and the mysterious femme fatal. Hawkshaw was a chance for me to demonstrate a wide range of my abilities in the world of design through women's outerwear, daywear, knitwear, cocktail dress', eveningwear and accessory design. This was my first experience realizing a full cohesive collection and I am excited to say it won't be my last.

A special thanks to the team involved in making this shoot happen. The theme of the shoot was the labor of love that goes into fashion design. The majority of this collection was actually constructed while I was studying full time in my 3rd semester at Ryerson and working a part time job. Late into the night I found myself obsessing about details and designs until eventually and reluctantly I decided the collection was complete. It was a new and challenging experience balancing work and study but I have effectively tought myself how to keep going.
